EXHIBIT C

Leslie Mendez

From: Carol
Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 12:47 PM
To: Leslie Mendez
Subject: Response to Application #PADR-1542/Rhoades

Dear Leslie,
I am responding to a recent Notice to Surrounding Property Owners/Residents regarding an Application
#P ADR-1542/Rhoades advising of a proposal to construct an additional 1,244 sq, ft in a second story,

I believe that this addition would be a severe handicap to my property located at 3116 Joanne Circle,
Because of the very close proximity of the houses which share a common backline fence, and small
yards on both properties the construction of a second story at 3227 Anastacia Court would reduce and/or
compromise the value of my property, add excessive noise and dust during the construction phase if
approved and would greatly limit the sunlight and open space at the back of my property, A visual
inspection will confirm this,

At the time this development was developed, it was my understanding from the developer that the single
story houses were lined up behind each other because of the smaller lot sizes not allowing two story
eonstruction and/or 3 car garages as well as it was the intent to minimize privacy concerns by not
building a two story behind either of these single family dwellings, I was also told that the General Plan
would not allow larger homes in a given area because of parking and usage issues that could be created
from an imbalance, which is why there is a variety of home sizes throughout this residential
development. I was also told by the developer that the city, once it approves a residential development,
based on certain guidelines, that the homes are built in accordance with those guidelines and they are not
amended,

My home at 3116 Joanne Circle is build in a U shape with the back portion of the home (the mstr bdrm,
kitchen, family rooms) facing toward the back section ofthe property located at 3227 Anastacia Court,
Because construction is very noisey, and dusty, dirty, the noise will bounce/resonate off my home, noise
be absorbed into the back portion of my home and echo making it impossible to live in the home,

We have a great deal invested in our property and do not want to see our adequate light, air, privacy, and
open space for our dwelling compromised in any way, whether it be in value or ability to live there,

Sincerely,

Carol and Steve Stanton
or

Blab-away for as little as 1 ~/min, Make P_C-1Q-PhQne(.~all~ using Yahoo!
