"Non-Covered Yrojcet" means: (1) Renovation of-any Cotnn~ercial Project less <br />than 20,000 gross square feet of Conditioned Space; (2) Renovation of any Conitrterci al Project, <br />City-Sponsored Project. or Rcsidenti al Project that consists solely of interior in~tprovem eats t:> an <br />existing Building or incorporates less than 20,000 gross square feet of additional Conditioned <br />Space; (3J Construction of one Single-Family Residential Yro_jcct that is a custom hotrte less than <br />2.000 square feet in size, ~4~ Historic Building; or ~5~ Privately-owned Building within the <br />boundaries of the llowntown Specific Ylan (adopted March 5. 2002)_ <br />y. "Pre-Permitting, Uocunzentatiori" means the documentation required by <br />Section 17.50.050_ <br />~. "Renovation" means any change. addition. or rnoditication to an existing <br />Bui Iding. <br />aa. "Residential Yro_jcct" means any Building within City limits used for living. <br />sleeping, eating, and cooking. Nor the purposes of this Chapter, a Residential Yroj cct includes <br />assisted-living facilities and senior housing. A Residential Yroj ect does not include hotels, <br />niotcls, inns, or similar cone n~tercial enterprises wherein root~-ts or suites of rootrts are rented for <br />transient occupancy and arc considered Commercial ~rojects~ <br />bb. "Single-Family Green Building Rating Systc m" means ACWMA's Grccn <br />Building rating systcn~ f'or Single-Fancily Residential Projects. As new rating systems are <br />developed by ACWMA. the Green Building Compliance Official shall have the authority to <br />specify the applicable Single-Family Green Building Rating System for a Covered Project. Nor <br />the first six months after the. release of-any new version of the Single-Fancily Careen Building <br />Rating System when the Covered Project is tbnrtally submitted to the Planning 17cparttrtent for <br />approval with the paytrient of appropriate fees, the Applicant shalt be given the choice of using, <br />the most current version or the version to be superseded- <br />cc. Single-1^'amily Residential Project means a Residential Project containing one <br />dwellin€ unit- <br />dd.
