"Applicant" n~tcans any individual, tirni, limited liability company, association, <br />partnership, political subdivision, government agency, municipality, industry, public or private <br />corporation, or any other entity that applies to the City for the applicable permits to undertake <br />a~zy Covered Project within the City_ <br />c. "1uilding" means any Structure used for support or shelter of any use or <br />occupancy, as defined in the California Building Standax-ds Codc. <br />f. "City" means the City of Pleasanton. <br />g. "City-Sponsored Project" xzxearxs a Building(s~ primarily funded and sponsored by <br />the City or on City-owned laxid. <br />h.. "Commercial Project" n~xeans any retail, of Vice, industrial, warehouse or service <br />Building(s) within City limits, which is not a City-Sponsored Yrc~ject, a Residential Yrc>ject, or a <br />Mixed-Use 1'roj ect. <br />i. "Conditioned Space" xnearxs an enclosed space in a Building, that is provided with <br />a mecl-tanical heating system that has a capacity exceeding I O Btu/<hr. x R.~), or is provided with <br />a mechanical cooling system that has a capacity exceeding 5 Btu/(hr. x R.2~, unless the space- <br />conditioning system is designed and ihern~ostatically controlled to maintain a process <br />environment temperature less than 55°P or to maintain a process environment temperature <br />greater than 90°h for the entire space the system sarvas_ <br />j. "Construction" n~xeans the Building of any structure. or any portion thereof- <br />k. "C'overed Project" means- (]) Construction of any City-Sponsored Project; <br />(2J Construction of any Coniniercial Project that includes 20,000 gross square feet or more of <br />Conditioned Space, <3) Renovation of any Commercial Project or CJity-Sponsored Project that <br />adds 20,000 gross square feet or more of additional Conditioned Space, but not a Renovation <br />3 <br />
