Matey homeowners, businesses, and Building <br />professionals have voluntarily sought to incorporate Green Building techniques into their <br />projects- A number oFlocal and national systems have been developed to serve as guiders to <br />Green Building practiccs_ At the national level, the U_S- Grccn Building Cowicil, developer of <br />the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LI?FDTM) Comn~crcial Green Building <br />Rating System and LEF'DTM Reference Guide, has become a ]cedar in promoting a.nd guiding <br />Green Building.
