EXHIBIT A PRZ-13, Amc-ndments to Chapter 17_50 (Commercial and G'ivic Green Building) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code March S, 2006 Chapter 1 7.50 of Title 1 7, Planning and Related Matters, of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows- G'hanter 17_50 Green Building Ordinance l 7_50_010 Purpose_ The purpose of this Chapter is to enhance the public welfare ~,ad assure that further residential., commercial, and civic development is consistent with the City's desire to create a more sustainable co~rttrtunity by incorporating Green Building rncasures into the design, construction, and maintenance of 13 uildings_ The Careen Building practices referenced in this Chapter arc designed to achieve the following goals: a. To encourage resource conservation; b. To reduce the waste generated by construction projects; c. "ho increase energy efficiency; and d_ To promote the health and productivity of residents, workers, and visitors to the City_ 17_50_020 Findings_ The City finds that: a. Green Building design, construction, and operation can have a significart positive effect on energy and reso urea ef8cicn cy, waste and pollution generation, and the health aimed productivity of a Building's occupants over tlza life of the Building_ b. Green Building benefits are spread throughout the systems and features of the Funding.
