Applicant fails to submit the documentation required by Section 17.50.070(d )(1) within the <br />required tune period., tLxen the final building approval and/or occupancy permit stay be withl-xcld. <br />"The Careen Building Corrxpliance Official n~xay req uire additional reasonable Green Building <br />measures as authorized in Section 17.50.070<cd-)(3) to be employed in the operation of the <br />Covered Project to mitigate the Applicant's failure to comply with this Chapter_ Once the <br />Applicant has perf orxned such additional reasonable Gram Building nicasures, the Green <br />Building G'otrpliance Ofti cial shall approve the Covered Proj act for Sisal building approval <br />and/or issuance of an occupancy permit. if the documentation submitted by the Applicant as <br />required by Sections 17.50.070(4) (2) and (3) indicates that the Applicant has not n-xade a good <br />faith ct3ort to n~xai main the originally approved conservation and energy-related credits in the <br />operation of the Building, the Green Building Compliance OfF ci al xrxay require additional <br />reasonable Green Building rr~eas ures as authorized in Section 17.50.070(e)(3) below: <br /><3~ Mitisation: It the Groan Building Compliance Official determines that the <br />Applicant has not cc>niplied with this Chapter. the Green Building Compliance OFF cial xzxay <br />require further reasonable Grccn Building measures to be etrxployed in the operation and <br />niainten once of the Covered Yroj act to nit tigate the Applicant's failure to coin ply fully with this <br />Chapter. Such mitigation measures niay include, but are not limited to, changes to landscaping <br />for the Covered Project to decrease water and energy consumption, use of energy efficient <br />tixtures_ including the use of energy etti dent light bulbs, and education of [lxe Building's <br />occupants and owners regarding ongoing energy and resource savings techniques. <br />L LE)D"rM Certilicati oxi: For Covered Projects that have voluntarily registered with <br />the U.S. Green Building Cowicil with the intent to certify the Building at the "Certified" level or <br />above the Crean Building Compliance Official nay reduce the scope of the City's coxxipliat~ce <br />review. Depending on the timing of certiFcation.. the documentation required by <br />Sections 17.50.070~c~(1~, 7 7.50.070~c~~2~ and 1750.070~c~~3) nay be reduced or elitriinated. <br />7 7_50_080 Hardship or Int"easibility Exemption_ <br />a_ Fxernotioti: If an Applicant fora Covered Project believes that circ un~stances <br />exist that make it a hardship or infeasible to meet the requirexrxents of this Chapter, he or she may <br />apply for an exemption as scat [~>rih below. h~ applying for an ex enzption, the; burden is on the; <br />Applicant to show hardship or infeasibility. <br />12 <br />
