<br />Day weekend, and has Downtown business directories available <br />in several locations. <br />PDA worked with City Staff this year to change the parking <br />time limit on Nmin Street and did an internal policing of bars <br />and restaurants in the district. All places of business serving <br />alcohol were sent updated Alcoholic Beverage Control Act materials. <br />Improvements and activities within the district for 1991-92 <br />include an International Fall Festival on October 19-20 in the <br />100 and 200 blocks of ~in Street, a February "in house" Bridal <br />Show promotion, and using the theme "Downtown Pleasanton Invites <br />You to Share...A Hometown Christmas" will have three holiday <br />activity packed weekends in December. <br />Events and activities include the annual tree lighting, <br />decorating contest, retail open houses, carriage rides, and live <br />en t e r t a i orne n t. I n add i t ion, 0 n De c emb e r 1 4 the r e wi I I be a <br />Hometown Christmas Parade the full length of ~in Street. Grand <br />marshals will be the men and women who served in the military <br />in the Persian Gulf. Numerous Pleasanton groups and organizations <br />are committed to participate in what PDA hopes will become an <br />annual event. <br />The Association will also participate In the 1991 Pasta <br />Festival, 1991 Almneda County Fair Parade, and Is assisting with <br />a July 1991 old fashioned community picnic sponsored by the <br />Valley Community Health Center, plus host a Taste of Downtown at <br />the September Chmnber of Commerce Mixer. Additional 1991-92 <br />promotions planned for Downtown are co-sponsorship of the Halloween <br /> <br />- 4 - <br />
