<br />Currently underway are a Spring Flower Faire (arts, crafts, <br />flowers, food, and entertainment) to be held ~y 12 and Heritage Days <br />(with assistance from the Pleasanton Rotary Club) June 8-9 (kickoff <br />events June 7 with concert by Amador High School Jazz Band in <br />Wayside Park and a Western dance sponsored by the North Pleasanton <br />Rotary Club). Heritage Days will include arts, crafts, food and <br />beverages, heritage displays and demonstrations, live entertaimnent, <br />square dancers, a Lions Club pancake breakfast, and special senior <br />citizen participation. A heritage reception and the second annual <br />architectural contest will be co-sponsored with the Tri-Valley <br />Herald. <br /> <br />The Association used funds raised at Heritage Days to donate <br />to the American Flag Fund, Flower Faire proceeds to donate to the <br />Missing Children's Fund (this year's project is the Ryan Comer Fund), <br />and projected future fundraising activity monies for Downtown <br />beautification and new Christmas tree lights. <br />PDA also hosted a workshop on customer service and assisted <br />with the Cancer Society Jail and Bail, supported CASA Red Ribbon Week <br />and the Tri-Valley Haven baseball game, provided a location for the <br />Girl Scout Holiday Food Drive, donated PDA advertising balloons for <br />the decorations at the Historical Society Oktoberfest, distributed <br />free "Rabbit Ears" to interested members of PDA, and had the Easter <br />Bunny distribute ears and candy on the Saturday before Easter. <br />In addition, PDA is providing several prizes for the <br />Chamber of Commerce Secretaries' Day, 4-H Fashion Show, and Amador <br />Band/Foothill Band fundraiser, will give away carnations ~ther's <br /> <br />- 3 - <br />
