of final subdivision map recordation which restricts the use and improvements to <br /> livestock grazing, open fencing, underground infrastructure facilities, and storm-water <br /> drainage facilities. Solar collectors, dog runs, play structures, and private roads shall <br /> specifically not be permitted within this area. A land management plan shall be prepared <br /> to establish private responsibility for permanently maintaining this open space band; <br /> <br /> Future buildings located to the noah of the northerly boundary of the open space <br /> easement shall be constructed at least 40-feet north of the easement: and <br /> <br /> · Grading on the ridge and noah-facing slope of Lot 12 shall be carefully engineered to <br /> create natural and not geometric contours, with no slope exceeding a 3: 1 grade. <br /> <br />CULTURAL RESOURCES ISection 4.11) <br /> <br />SIGNIFICANT EFFECT <br /> <br />Impact 4.11-2: Disturbance of Unidentified Cultural Resources. Development of the project site <br /> would include the removal of vegetation and surface soils through grading activities. Because <br /> Native American and historic cultural resources could be present on the project site, these <br /> grading activities could cause the disturbance of these resources. The disturbance of previously <br /> unidentified cultural resources would be considered a significant project impact. <br /> <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which mitigate or avoid <br />the significant effects on the environment. <br /> <br />Facts in Support of Finding <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton has adopted the following measures which will reduce potential cultural resource <br />impacts to a less-than-significant level: <br /> <br />Mitigation Measure4.11-2: Disturbanee of Cultural Resources <br /> If any prehistoric or historic artifacts, or other indications of cultural resources are found <br /> once project construction is underway, all work must stop within 20 meters (66 feet) of <br /> the find. A qualified archaeologist shall be consulted for an immediate evaluation of the <br /> find prior to resuming ground-breaking construction activities within 20 meters of the <br /> find. If the find is determined to be an important archaeological resource, the resource <br /> shall be either avoided, if feasible, or recovered consistent with the requirements of <br /> Appendix K of the State CEQA Guidelines. <br /> <br /> · In the event of discovery or recognition of any human remains in any on-site location, <br /> there shall be no further excavation or disturbance of the site or any nearby area <br /> reasonably suspected to overlie adjacent remains until the County coroner has <br /> determined, in accordance with any law concerning investigation of the circumstances, <br /> manner and cause of death and the recommendations concerning treatment and <br /> dispositions of the human remains have been made to the ~erson responsible for the <br /> excavation, or to his or her authorized representative. <br /> <br />Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan Draft EIR -32- Findings <br /> <br /> <br />
