Resolution No. 93-72 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> c. The recruiting and retention of business may be <br /> addressed by the Committee. To this end, the <br /> Committee's role shall be limited to providing <br /> general information regarding available resources <br /> within the business community and governmental <br /> agencies which may be beneficial towards attracting <br /> new businesses to the community and/or retaining <br /> existing businesses. Unless otherwise directed by <br /> the City Council, the Committee shall not engage in <br /> any negotiations relative to the relaxation, <br /> expansion or modification of any City regulations, <br /> fees, or services. <br /> <br /> d. The Committee may recommend to the City Council the <br /> general types of businesses and/or markets which <br /> would be beneficial to the overall economic <br /> condition of the City as a means of providing the <br /> City with information necessary to determine <br /> whether certain businesses and/or markets should be <br /> actively recruited by the City. However, <br /> recommendations related to this area shall be <br /> general in nature and shall not pertain to <br /> residential developments or land use planning <br /> issues which are currently addressed by the City <br /> Planning Commission and the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Economic Development Advisory Committee shall be <br /> comprised of thirteen (13) members, with one <br /> representative each from the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Chamber of Commerce - An individual recommended by <br /> the Chamber's Executive Board. <br /> <br /> 2. Business Park - A representative from the <br /> owner/management of one of the following business <br /> parks - Stoneridge Corporate Plaza, Commerce <br /> Circle/Johnson Drive, Pleasanton Park, Signature <br /> Center, Hacienda Business Park, Rose Pavilion, <br /> Santa Rita Industrial Park, Valley Business Park <br /> Stanley Business park, Pleasanton Station, and <br /> Bernal Corporate Center. <br /> <br /> 3. Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Firm - A <br /> representative from a real estate business <br /> specializing in commercial sales with an office <br /> located in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 4. Stoneridge Mall - A representative recommended by <br /> the Taubman Company. <br /> <br /> <br />
