Section 11. EMT Pav <br /> Employees in the classifications represented by the Union <br /> shall be paid EMT pay equal to one percent (1 %) of the <br /> regular rates of pay set forth in Section 5.1 of this <br /> memorandum of understanding. Effective the first full pay <br /> period after September 1, 1995, said EMT pay shall be <br /> increased one percent (1 %). Effective the first full pay <br /> period after September 1, 1996, EMT pay shall be increased <br /> one -half of one percent (.5 %) <br /> Section 12. Firefighter /Paramedic Pay <br /> Employees assigned as firefighter /paramedics will receive <br /> additional compensation while serving the assignment. The <br /> compensation received shall be a flat dollar amount equal <br /> to ten percent of "E" step firefighter. Except as <br /> specified below, paramedic compensation shall not be <br /> included in the calculation of any additional premium pay <br /> including but not limited to City overtime, holiday pay, <br /> educational incentive pay, or acting officer pay. <br /> Paramedic compensation shall be included in the <br /> calculation of FLSA overtime, if any, and shall be subject <br /> to PERS contributions. Paramedic compensation shall be <br /> paid bi- weekly. Except for vacations and Labor Code 4850 <br /> payments, paramedic compensation will not be payable for <br /> any continuous period the employee is unable to perform <br /> paramedic duties beyond one pay - period. Employees while <br /> serving in a firefighter /paramedic assignment shall not <br /> receive EMT pay. <br /> Section 13. Vacations <br /> 13.1 Vacation Eligibility <br /> All employees shall be entitled to annual vacation leave <br /> with pay except the following: <br /> Employees who have served less than six (6) months <br /> in the service of the City. <br /> Employees who work on a provisional basis. <br /> - 13 - <br />
