Commissioner Dove made a motion that the par course be eliminated, the putting greens and
golf cage be eliminated and that in lieu of them two in-line hockey rinks be incorporated in that
area, that the basketball and handball courts and in-line hockey rinks be lit, that a rest room be
located in the area of the children's play area, and that the project be constructed in a way to be
pleasing to the neighbors.

The motion died for lack of a second.

Commissioner Sedlak asked about increasing the availability of the tennis courts to the public.
Ms. Bengtson stated they do have trouble making the courts available on an unscheduled basis.
They should have been designed differently so that a charge card could be used or they could
have been placed on a timer. This issue will be addressed in the next phase so that a person can
play if staff is not present.

Commissioner Winslow stated he felt Commissioner Dove's motion was too specific and he does
not support saying there will be two in-line hockey facilities at the park. He feels general
direction is needed at this time. Ms. Bengtson stated she felt the general information provided
was good and that the commissioners were in agreement. She asked for more direction on the
building program. She clarified that it was the Commission's intention that showers and the
child care facility should be eliminated and that storage should be on-site but out of thc building.
Commissioner Maas felt it would be nice to let some of the sport groups use the building for
their meetings.

Commissioner Winslow felt the parking issue needs to be analyzed in consideration of the
neighbors.

In response to a question from Chairman Silva, it was determined that adequate input had been
provided to the consultants to allow them to proceed with design options.

Chairman Silva thanked everyone for attending.

At 9:10 p.m., Chairman Siiva stated there would be a short break in the meeting; he
reconvened the meeting at 9:20 p.m.

C.
