AT'IAC~-II~T 3 <br /> <br />Commissioner Winslow asked if the project included lighting. Mr. Fulford state~l lighting is <br />being considered if the budget allows. <br /> <br />Commissioner Winslow does not feel there will be a major problem but felt paxking should be <br />checked during softball season. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas expressed concern about the distance of the park from the rest rooms. Mr. <br />Fulford stated the rest room at the Softball Complex is about 800 feet away, but he anticipates <br />the skateboarders will use the rest room which is 1,100 feet away. Commissioner Winslow <br />pointed out portable rest rooms can be used if there is a problem. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas asked if there is any recourse if there are problems with the facility. Ms. <br />Bengtson stated if there is a significant problem, it could be brought to the Commission, and <br />they would have the choice of changing the area back to a sport court. <br /> <br />Commissioner Maas asked if the City would continue to work with users of the skateboard park. <br />Ms. Bengtson stated staff and Commissioner Sedlak have worked with the skateboarders and <br />they have adopted protocol rules. <br /> <br />Commissioner Winslow asked if there would be staff onsite. Ms. Bengtson responded there <br />would not be someone assigned to the location. The park will be signed, there will be staff in <br />the general area much of the time, and staff will spot check for any problems. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Winslow, seconded by Commissioner Sedlalc, <br />recommending the City Council approve the proposed site at Sports Park for a -~imteboard <br />facility. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br /> AYES: Commissioners Dove, Maas, Sedlak, Winslow, and Chairman Silva <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Chairman Silva thanked everyone for attending. <br /> <br />B. She stated after years of waiting, Pleasanton Tennis and <br /> Community Park has been funded for completion. A total of $2,426,991 has been budgeted over <br /> a period of about three years.. She explained the project was previously scheduled to be <br /> completed in two phases. Phase lI included only the administration building.
