payments, paramedic compensation will not be payable for any continuous period the employee <br />is unable to perform paramedic duties beyond one pay - period. Employees while serving in a <br />paramedic assignment shall not receive EMT pay. <br />Section 13. Vacations <br />13.1 Vacation Eligibility <br />All employees shall be entitled to annual vacation leave except for the following: <br />Employees who have served less than six (6) months in the service of <br />the Cities of Livermore or Pleasanton or Livermore- Pleasanton Fire <br />Department. <br />13.2 Varation Allowance <br />Each eligible employee on a fifty -six (56) hour workweek shall accrue vacation with pay in <br />accordance with the following schedule <br />Years of Continuous Service Monthly Accrual Ratt <br />First through fourth year <br />Fifth through eleventh year <br />Twelfth through fourteenth <br />Fifteenth through sixteenth year <br />Seventeenth year and above <br />Accrued vacation shall be credited to the employee's account biweekly. <br />12 hours <br />16 hours <br />20 hours <br />22 hours <br />24 hours <br />Each eligible employee on a forty (40) hour workweek shall accrue vacation with pay in accordance <br />with the following schedule: <br />Years of Continuous Service Monthly Accrual Rate <br />First through fourth year <br />Fifth through eleventh <br />Twelve through fourteenth <br />Fifteenth through sixteenth <br />Seventeenth year or more <br />8.57 hours <br />11.43 hours <br />14.29 hours <br />15.71 hours <br />17.14 hours <br />Any employee except a probationary employee, may be allowed to incur a fifty -six (56) hour <br />deficit beyond the vacation leave credited to his /her account on his /her anniversary date. A <br />probationary employee may incur a fifty -six (56) hour deficit in vacation leave after six (6) months <br />full -time satisfactory service. <br />1 0 <br />
