If a 20-member team <br />was all nonresidents, the team fee would be increased by $180. <br />The revenue goal considers the amount of fees generated in all programs, including the nonresident <br />fees. For those specific programs with an objective of generating revenue to cover all program costs, <br />the nonresident fee assists in offsetting those costs. As the number of nonresident participants <br />decreases, the resident fee needs to increase to assure adequate revenue generation. <br />PROPOSED FEE SCHEDULE/CHANGES <br />A. DEPARTMENT GENERAL FEES <br />a. Refund Service Fee: No change proposed -Refunds are not granted if requested <br />later than three (3) working days prior to the first class meeting. Refunds granted <br />will incur a $5.00 per class service charge. Full refunds will be given for any <br />classes canceled by the Department. Note: Aquatic program refunds are restricted <br />to special circumstances only. <br />b. Nonresident: A nonresident is any client not residing within Pleasanton's property <br />tax limit. <br />Nonresident Fee <br />Aquatic training classes - no change proposed - $10.00 per class <br />Adult Sport Leagues - no change proposed - $15.00 per nonresident player (cap ~ 12 <br />players) per full season; $8 per nonresident worker. <br />Other Classes/Programs - no change proposed <br />Nonresident Fee - No change proposed <br />$3.00 for classes/programs up to and including $30.00. Classes over $30.00, <br />10% nonresident fee. <br />c. Late Fee: No change proposed -Registration is considered late if completed after <br />the class has begun with the exception of Aquatics. Aquatics late fee begins two <br />working days prior to first class. Late Fee - $2.00 per class. <br />d. Returned Check Service Fee: No change proposed - $10.00 per class <br />B. CLASSES/PROGRAMS -Miscellaneous, Youth and Adult <br />The cost of fee classes is set to attempt to return the full cost of the instructor(s) and <br />materials plus at least an additiona150% for program supervision and office support <br />(direct program cost). <br />Fee class instructors are paid either hourly or on a contractual basis as determined by <br />Department staff and instructor.
