He <br />agreed that the exterior could use some articulation for visual interest. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Arkin whether the building would be air conditioned, <br />Mr. Noland replied that it would not be air-conditioned or heated acid that it would be a passive <br />structure in keeping with going to be able to standards. It would have sufficient natural <br />ventilation. <br />Commissioner Pearce suggested placing the paper towel dispenser within arm's reach of the <br />diaper-changing table. Mr. Noland agreed that would be a good addition. <br />Michael O'Callaghan, 7 25 West Neal Street, Pleasanton Downtown Association, spoke in <br />support of this application and hoped this restroom would be well crcaintained. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED_ <br />Commissioner Blank moved to approve PDR-496, subject to the conditions of approval as <br />listed on Exhibit B of the staff report, as recommended by staff, with the additional <br />conditions that. (1) real mirrors be installed in the restrooms; (2J porcelain fixtures be <br />installed in place of stainless steel; (3) the res trooms be serviced daily; (4) electrical power <br />be provided to the storage room; ~S~ a capped and sealed conduit be placed between the <br />storage room and the roof for wifi accessibility or other such facilities if desired in the <br />future; (6J a sign indicating when the restroom was last services be installed, and a <br />telephone number to call if service if needed; (7) paper towel dispensers be installed <br />adjacent to the diaper changing stations in all the restrooms; and (8) trellises be installed <br />on the exterior of the buildings_ <br />G'ommission er Arkin seconded the motion_ <br />Commissioner Fox proposed an amendment to include attractive signage indicating that <br />this was a restroom_ <br />AYES= Corn ir~issioners Arkin, Blank Fox, Maas and Roberts_ <br />NOF.S_ None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RFCLISED: None. <br />ABSENT_ None. <br />Resolution No- PC-2005-57 was entered and adopted as niotioncd_ <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINiITES November 16, 2005 Page 21 of 23 <br />
