7_ MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS Staff Response to Previous Matters Initiated Ms_ Decker wished to respond to Chairperson Maas' questions regarding a fence and a house construction toward the south area- A PUD Minor Modification was performed to allow the construction of an eight-foot high wall. Ms. Decker noted that the house on the ridge at the end of Castlewood Drive was located within Alameda County jurisdiction- A preliminary review on the project was performed, and when the Public Works Department took the pre-annexation agreetrtent to the C7ity Council in July 2004, Council decided not to require a design rcvicw_ 325 Rav Street Commissioner Fox noted that green and white striped awnings had been installed at this address, instead of solid-color awnings- Ms_ Decker advised that those awnings were not approved by staff and that staff is discussing the preferred color with the owner. Stali~would prefer either a burgundy or dark green awning- Roof Adjacent to McDonal d's Restaurant C'on~nzissioner Roberts noted that the roof on the building adjacent to McDonald's Kastaurant was hideous. Commissioner Fox believed it was originally supposed to be designed lihc the roof of the Hacienda School and recalled that Larry Cannon had done a peer review- She believed the Commission had approved the roof with an opening- 8_ MAT'T'ERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION a. Actions of the Zoning Administrator In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Roberts whether Shaklee was breaking up the property, Ms_ Dc=eker coniirnied that was the case and that a parcel inap had been approved they were repositioning their properties to segregate their utilities.
