Staff reconunended <br />approval of this item_ <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED_ <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Roberts regarding the nature of the school, <br />Ms_ Shannon Van Brunt, Director of the Collcgc, noted that this was not a school of automotive <br />repair. The school's objective was to teach interested adults about sales training, finance and <br />insurance training, management training, and loan underwriter training for the automotive, RV, <br />iriotorcyclc, marine, and lending industries. She added th ai there would be no machinery of any <br />kind and that the school was set in an office-type environment. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED_ <br />Commissioner Blank moved to make the required conditional use findings as listed in the <br />staff report and to approve Case PCUP-147, subject to the conditions of approval listed in <br />Exhibit B, as recommended by staff_ <br />Commissioner Pearce seconded the motiou_ <br />ROLL CALL VOTE_ <br />AYES: Coir~~r~i ssioncrs Blank, Fox, Maas, Yearce, and Roberts. <br />NOES: None_ <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None_ <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Arkin. <br />Resolution No_ PC-2005-45 was entered and adopted as iriotioncd. <br />c_ Modification to UP-JS-54_ Matt Billie Qs <br />Application for a modification to aiz approved conditional use penrtit for the Pleasanton <br />Main Street Brewery, located at 830 Main Strcct, to allow hard liquor/spirits to be served. <br />Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial), Downtown Revitalization, Gore <br />Area Overlay District_ <br />Ms_ Decker presented the staff report and. described the background and scope of this <br />application. With the exception of requesting hard liquor/spirits service, no other changes to the <br />business operation or floor plan are proposed. The Plaruiing Director determined that this was a <br />substantial change to the existing conditional use permit, but staff did not believe this change <br />would negatively impact the surrounding properties if the business continues to be run in a <br />responsible manner.
