Commissioner Fox requested information with respect to the conditional use permit <br />required for the Union Jack Pub, although the Wagon Wheel also had a similar <br />conditional use permit for a similar type of business_ <br />Commissioner Arkin recalled that the Wagon Wheel had not lived up to the food service <br />and floor plan requirements for the conditional use permit at that time. <br />Chairperson Maas noted that the Planning Institute conferences were very informative £or <br />topics such as this. <br />fi_ MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION <br />a_ Future Planning Calendar <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Blar~lc regarding tracking o£ future items, <br />Ms. Decker confirmed that stafF maintained a spreadsheet of the items that <br />Commissioners have requested to be brought back. Staff has not been able to devote <br />adequate time to bring those items back recently because the calendar has been very <br />heavy_ She noted that the calendars will be leveling out in the near future and that the <br />items should be able to be addressed_ <br />Commissioner Blar~k requested that the Commission be able to see the list froir~ meeting <br />to meeting, to keep them in mind_ <br />b. Actions of the City Council <br />There were none_ <br />c. Actions of the Zoning Administrator <br />Commissioner Fox requested a definition of an office condominium. <br />Commissioner Roberts replied that it was owned office space. <br />M.s. Nerland noted that there had been many proposals for oft3ce condominiums given the <br />stagnant commercial rental rates. Owners of com mercial properties have found there is a <br />more lucrative market in Pleasanton to sell small office suites than to rent them. <br />Commercial space that had been going unrented is being bought instead for commercial <br />condominium uses_ <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Arkin whether someone could live in those <br />spaces., Ms. Nerland replied that would not be possible as this was not alive/work <br />approval. <br />9_ COMMUNICATIONS <br />Chairperson Maas advised that the Joint City Council-Plai~iiing Commission Traffic and <br />Circulation Workshop for the General Plan would he held on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, <br />at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers_ <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES August 24, 2005 Page 10 of 11 <br />
