Commissioner Blank moved toe (1) deny the appeal and uphold the Zoning <br />Administrator's approval for the first-17oor addition, (2) uphold the appeal, thereby <br />overturning the Zoning Administrator's approval of the second-story addition, with the <br />addition of a condition that should the applicant wish to pursue a second-story addition <br />subscq uent to the expiration of the appeal period, the application would return to the <br />Planning Commission with additional information in the form of a peer review and visual <br />analysis to the provided by the applicant_ <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Blank, hox, Maas, and Pearce. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None_ <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Roberts. <br />Resolution No. YG'-2005-28 was entered and -adopted as motioned. <br />The Planning Commission recessed for a break at 9: ] 2 p_m_ <br />Chairperson Maas reconvened the meeting at 9:22 p.m. <br />l-h_ PCUP-144. Golden State Cabinetry <br />Application for a conditional use permit to allow a 3,450-square-foot cabinetry shop in <br />the Valley Business Park PUD located at 1065 Serpentine Lane, Suite 300, in the Valley <br />Business Park_ Zoning for the property is PUD-I Planned Unit Development - <br />Industrial) District_ <br />Ms. Decker summarized. the staff report acid described the history and layout of this application. <br />She noted that there was anotl-ier cabinet shop on Serpentine Lane and recommended approval of <br />this application. <br />Coiriirii ssioner Black did not see any provisions regarding 13re safety and inquired how that <br />would be addressed.
