7_ MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />"Just Tires" Si~na~e <br />Commissioner Blank noted that after his last visit to "Just Tirc s" following the letter from Code <br />Enforcement, it appears that the excess signage had not been removed. He inquired whether <br />there was a waiting period and noted that the Cotninission's requests did not seem to have been <br />heeded. <br />Ron Winters Proiect <br />In response to art inquiry by Chairperson Maas regarding this project, Ms_ Decker noted that <br />there had been two meetings and that the project is under peer review. She expected. the review <br />to be completed by the following week or soy prior to the June 22 meeting date_ She noted that it <br />would be taken to the Housing Commission in the second week of _Iune_ <br />Hacienda Business Park <br />Commissioner Fox noted that there were signs on Stoneridgc Drive and Willow Road for <br />vacancies and advertising for the new roof for the office building_ She believed it was <br />unattractive and was up again aRer having been removed. She requested that Code Enforcement <br />look into that_ <br />Announcement of Commissioner Annointments <br />Chairperson Maas believed that a better method of announcing new Commission members could <br />be developed and implemented so Commissioners were made aware of it at the beginning of the <br />~- process. <br />Chickens <br />Commissioner Fox inquired whether an application to have four chickens should be a Ylanning <br />Commission matter. Ms_ Decker replied that fell within the Commission's purview. <br />8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION <br />a. Future Planning Calendar <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Roberts regarding the Tune 8, 2005 Planning <br />Commission meeting at the alternate site, Ms. Decker confirmed that the School Board Room <br />had recording equipment and overhead displays. <br />Commissioner Blank expressed concern about the schedule conflict and noted that he might have <br />wanted to attend the budget workshop scheduled for the wane date. He objected to the <br />assumption that the Commissioners would not wart to attend the budget work-shop. <br />Chairperson Maas expressed concern about being displaced from the Council CGhanzbers on a. <br />regular I'lartrting Commission meeting date and believed that the budget workshop could have <br />been held elsewhere. <br />YLANNING CIOMMIS SION MINUTES May 25, 2005 Page 27 of 23 <br />
