2_ Thc- neighbors and the Suttous be encouraged to work together regarding the <br />number of children in the daycare; <br />Commissioner Fox suggested an amendment that the flier prepared for existing and future <br />clic-nts state that daycare patrons should not keep their car running during the pick-up and <br />drop-off period and that they should not use their car horns during that time; and that the <br />phone number of the Suttous be distributed to the neighbors so they would be encouraged <br />to call the Suttous in the event of a problem- <br />Commissioner Blank suggested an amendment that the flier specifically state that car <br />horns shall not be blown; and that the flier be signed by the customers and a copy kept on <br />file at the daycare facility- <br />Commissioner Maas accepted the proposed amendments- <br />Commissioner Fox seconded the motion- <br />Commissioner Blank directed staff to request the Traffic Committee, the appropriate traffic <br />engineer, and/or police representative to consider having speed signs for at least 90 days <br />regarding the potanti al blind spot and to sac if any ramadiation needs to be performed; and to <br />consider a meeting between the Coda Enforcement Officer or the Policy Department and the <br />customers of the daycare to reiterate the vehicle code restrictions acid neighborly coed uct_ The <br />Code Enforcement Officer or traffic control officer would also sign the same paper to verify that <br />the customer received and reviewed the rulers from the daycare operators <br />ROLL CALL VOTE. <br />AY1=;S: Commissioners Blank, Fox, and Maas_ <br />NOES: Commissioners Arkin, Roberts_ <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />RECUSED: None. <br />ABSENT: Nona_ <br />Resolution No. PC-2005-23 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br />e_ PDUP-8, Vilas 8c Me~ha Thuse <br />Application for conditional use permit approval to expand an existing small family <br />daycare facility located at 5276 Genovesio Drive into a large family daycare facility of up <br />to 14 children.
