each tree required to be preserved, up to a ar~aximum of $25,000. This cash bond or <br />security shall he retained for one year Following completion o£ construction grad shall be <br />forfeited if the trees are removed, destroyed, or distgured_ For trees that are removed, <br />destroyed, or disfigured during construction, the applicant shall pay a fine in the amount <br />equal to the appraised value of the subject tree- If the fine based on the appraised value <br />of the tree(s~ exceeds the bond amount, the applicant shall pay the difference between the <br />bond and the appraised value of the subject tree~s~_ <br />1 S. Protective chain ]ink fencing shall be installed arowid the existing trees to be saved <br />during all construction activities- The location of said feaacing shall be suL~ject to the <br />review and approval of the Planning i~irector. In addition, the following tree <br />preservation methods shall be followed: <br />a. The applicarat shall utilize his best efforts to locate any new utility treraclaes <br />outside the driplinc of the existing trees to be saved- <br />b. No oil, gasoline, chemicals, or other harmful materials shall be deposited or <br />disposed within the driplinc of the existing trees to he saved or in drainage <br />channels, swales, or areas that may lead to the driplinc. <br />c. No signs, wires, or ropes shall be attached to the existing trees to be saved- <br />d_ No stockpiling/storage of construction ariaterial s, fill, etc-, shall take place <br />underneath or within 5' of the driplinc of the existing trees to be saved.. <br />e. No equipment or temporary structures shall be placed within or beneath the <br />driplines of the existing trees to be saved. <br />f. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in a stop-work order- <br />7 6. All demolition work, site improvements, and construction activities shall be limited to the <br />hours of 8:00 a.ira. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday- All construction equipment <br />must meet DMV noise standards and shall be equipped with anuftling devices- <br />? 7. At no time shall campers, trailers, motor homes, or any other vehicle be used as living or <br />sleeping quarters ore the construction silt. All such vehicles shall be raiZZOVad from the <br />site at the end of each workday- <br />18. Final inspection by the Planning Department is required. <br />19. All parking spacr-.:s shall be striped. Wheel stops shall be provided unless the spaces arc <br />fronted by concrete curbs, in which case sufficient areas shall be provided. beyond the <br />ends of all parking spaces to accommodate the overhang of automobiles. <br />20. If archeological materials are uncovered during grading, trenching, or other on-site <br />excavation, all work on site shall he stopped and the City immediately noti£icd_ The <br />
