<br />Foothill Tank Water Oualitv Improvements <br /> <br />The Water Quality Improvement to Foothill Tank (Stoneridge pipeline) project provides for the <br />construction of 3,200 feet of 16-inch water main in Stoneridge Drive from Zone 7' s Turnout No. <br />4 on Hopyard Road to Johnson Drive. The project is designed to improve system hydraulics and <br />improve the cycling of fresh water in the Foothill Reservoir to improve water quality at this <br />location. <br /> <br /> <br />PROJECf LIMITS <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br />~ <br />c <br />z <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />is <br />~ <br />< <br />> <br />'" <br />o <br />'" <br />o <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Stonerid2e Pipeline Ali2nment <br /> <br />Consultant Contract <br /> <br />On September 21, 2004, the City Council approved a consulting contract with Winzler and <br />Kelly, Inc. for the design of the Stone ridge Drive Water Transmission Line and the Pim1ico <br />Water Turnout Station and Water Transmission Line (Project Nos. 031016 and 011012). The <br />contract amount was $346,200. <br /> <br />During the preliminary design stage, it was determined that additional design, topographic <br />survey work, and utility potholing will be necessary to complete the project. A summary of <br />the various tasks are listed below. <br /> <br />TASK 1 <br />In reviewing the existing utility plans of the various public and private utilities, it was <br />determined that additional potholing (exploratory excavations) would be necessary to <br />accurately locate existing utilities and determine potential conflicts with the proposed pipeline <br />alignment, water turnout station and utility vaults.
