FISCAL IMPACT

The elimination of the restrictions in the Permit Parking Zone Ordinance may increase the
number of locations requesting permit parking or initiate new requests to adjust the current
restrictions in placeo This would require the creation of new signs at a nominal expense and
could increase the need for enforcement from the Pleasanton Police Department. However,
the volunteer citizen patrols have been used successfully for parking enforcement and as a
result this action is not expected to increase staff costs 0

Respectfully Submitted,

~~~
~~ ./~
Susan Rossi
Director of Finance
~/
Rob Wilson
Director of Public Works
Nelson Fialho
City Manager
Attachment: Resolution
Chapter 11038 of the Municipal Code, Residential Permit Parking Zone
SR:06:016
Page 4 of4
