Mr. Iserson noted that the Green Building Ordinance was a sensitive subject, and <br />suggested that the consideration of energy impacts and resource usage were more on <br />point than addressing them as "green building" standards. <br />Chairperson Arkin believed that there should be free parking to relieve the presslu-e from <br />the surrounding residenti al neighborhoods. He Holed Thal preferred traffic directions <br />should be developed with the G'ity. <br />Mr_ Kierstead noted that many of the C'ommissioners' questions were addressed in their <br />report. PDR-275, Miracle Auto Painting <br />Work session to discuss the proposed design for a two story, approximately <br />10,000 square foot auto painting building located at 3 Wyoming Street, in Stanley <br />Business Park. Zoning for the property is PUD-C <Planned Unit Development- <br />Commercial~. <br />Mr_ lserson summarized the staff report, and noted that the applicant had changed the <br />design to reflect peer reviewer Larry Cannon's comments. The applicant and staff <br />worked to reduce the design impact, such as recessing the overhead doors, limiting their <br />height, adding trellises with vines, adding a tower element for visual interest- Staff <br />believed the result of the redesign was an attractive, clean, and functional building that <br />will fit in well with the surrounding buildings- He noted that the pyramid element in the <br />tower was used in many other nearby locations, and added that the G'ommission may <br />want to consider another design. Staff believed that additional landscape detail should be <br />provided, which will occur at the public hearing.
