Pian B, and agreed with Mr. Sousa's point that the disclosure statement must be specific <br />regarding the surrounding businesses. <br />Mr. Swift advised that the Commissioners made their points clearly, and that staff would <br />work with the developers regarding postponement of the project. <br />Commissioner Roberts moved that the Planning Commission initiate a series of East <br />Side focused workshops to address individual interests such as housing, parks and <br />recreation, commerciaLindustrial interests on the East Side, all overlaid by traffic <br />and circulation_ The workshops would involve the community as much as possible, <br />with the intent of bringing more specific recommendations to the City Council, and <br />folding the East Side Study into the Land Use Element Update of the General Plau_ <br />Commissioner Sullivau seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Maas, Roberts, Sedlalc, acid Sullivan <br />NOES- None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Kameny <br />The iriotion carried <br />c_ PCUP-47/PDR-183, Waterhouse Management Corporation <br />Application for modifications to the conditional use permit and design review <br />approvals for the expansion of the Hacienda Mobile Home Park located at 323 1 <br />Vineyard Avenue. Zoning for the property is RM-4,000 (Multiple-Faariily <br />Residential, 4,000 square feet site area per dwelling unit_~ <br />Continued indefinitely. <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Roberts requested clarification of the in lieu fees for affordable housing. <br />Mr. Switt did not believe the issue would come to the Planning Commission, but that it <br />would go to the Housing Commission and City Council. <br />Comiriissioner Roberts noted that she would like the Plaruiing Commission included in that <br />issue. <br />Mr. Swig noted that the Planning Commission normally did not participate in the park or <br />housing in lieu Fees, which were examined by the Parlcs and Recreation Comxziission and <br />the Housing Commission, respectively. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES February 12, 2003 Page 20 <br />
