He noted that any new residents would need a disclosure stating <br />they were in an industrial part of the City_ He noted that other neighboring uses included <br />the tiring range, the fire department, and the garbage company. He noted that Kie-Wit's <br />current plans were to stay and operate- <br />Rick Camacho5 3847 Vineyard Avenue, expressed concern about increased Livermore <br />Airport noise if the plamied extension o£ the shorter runway X25 Le£t/7 Rights proceed~d~ <br />He noted that the Airport Master Plan had been completed, and was being reviewed by the <br />FAA, and he added that departing planes may cause more noise over Pleasanton and any <br />potential new housing. He noted that transportation of aggregate would continue on El <br />Charm, and pointed out that the local aggregate was high quality and served an ixrxportant <br />purpose in local construction. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED_ <br />Commissioner Roberts suggested that this item be brought back before the G'ommission <br />because of the multitude of issues to consider. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Maas, Mr. Swift replied that Council would <br />prioritize the planning-related undertakings for the next year. He anticipated that updating <br />the Land Use and Circulation Elements would remain on the priority list. Council has <br />requested staff to present a process for addressing the W_ Las Positas interchange, and its <br />possible elimination from the General Plan. He expected that would be a high priority for <br />the Council, and that it was part o£the comprehensive Circulation Element_ <br />Commissioner Maas noted that the findings would drive the process with respect to <br />planning traffic circulation £or the area_ <br />Mr. Swig noted that the City G'ouncil would leave the Land Use and Circulation Elements <br />as a priority. He noted that the previous City Council did not choose to do a separate East <br />Pleasanton study, but that this Council may choose to implement that study. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Roberts, Mr. Iserson confirmed that a policy in <br />the Housing Element would follow up General Plan Amendments and rezonings of those <br />properties that may be converted to residenti al within a year.
