Co~rimissioner Sullivan noted that the residential green building standard was to use best <br />effort in its design and construction. <br />Commissioner Kemeny would like the developer to use his best effort in using green <br />building standards. He did not wish to drive the cost of the homes up because of a green <br />building requirement. <br />Chairperson Arkin believed it would be reasonable to expect that of custom homes. <br />Commissioner Maas believed that voluntary compliance would be the best solution. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Sullivan, Mr. Pavan advised that the green <br />building condition was on pages 1 O and 1 1 within the design guidelines Exhibit CJ. <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted that he had problems with the plan from the beginning, at~d <br />believed that the Commission rationalized it to become acceptable_ He did not necessarily <br />agree with that process. Ile was concerned about the visibility of the homes from the park. <br />He noted that the project had proceeded so far that it would be counterproductive to vote <br />against it. <br />Commissioner Maas requested that Mr_ Pavan follow up to ensure that the agreement <br />regarding Hahner/Delco was finalized. <br />Commissioner Maas moved to approve PUD-OI-1M as recommended by staff. <br />Corrections supplied by staff would be incorporated into the resolution, including the <br />building height, the memo on 4_c_ and 26_k_ The condition requiring disclosure of the <br />new sound and smell from the RMC/Lonestar plant would be in eluded. <br />Commissioner Kemeny seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Arkin, Kemeny, Maas, and Sullivan <br />NOES: None <br />ABSTAIN: Coirimissioners Roberts, Sedlak <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. PC-2003-01 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br />e_ PRZ-7 City of Pleasanton <br />Application to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to provide for a generator <br />siting ordinance that would establish locational requirements, design requirements, <br />operation requirements, noise requirements, and City review procedures for <br />electricity generator facilities. More specifically, the ordinance would establish <br />requirements and review procedures for the following types of facilities: turbines <br />and engines that generate electricity, emergency backup generators, fuel cell <br />facilities, photovoltaic facilities, and wind energy facilities.
