<br /> Cultural Resource Policy 2: Potentially Undiscovered Resources. Minimize the risk of <br /> adverse impacts to potential cultural resources that may exist on the site and that may be <br /> discovered in the future. <br /> Guidelines: <br /> 2.1 A qualified archeologist should monitor grading activities at locations where cultural <br /> resources are known to exist, and where cultural resources may be discovered in future <br /> surveys. <br /> 2.2 If cultural or archeological resources are discovered during grading or site preparation, all <br /> work in that area should stop until an archeologist has recommended, and the City has <br /> approved, activities to protect and/or recover the identified cultural resources. <br /> Hazardous Materials Objective <br /> TO PROTECT CONSTRUCTION WORKERS AND FUTURE SITE USERS FROM <br /> HAZARDOUS MATERIALS THAT MAYBE ON THE SITE AND THAT POSE AN <br /> UNACCEPTABLE RISK. <br /> Hazardous Materials Policy 1: Hazardous Materials Study. Ifnecessary and required by the <br /> findings of preliminary hazardous materials studies, subsequent field investigations and <br /> remediation plans shall be prepared and implemented prior to anyon-site construction activity. <br /> Guidelines: <br /> 1.1 Preliminary studies should be prepared and, if hazardous materials are detected, should be <br /> submitted to the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health and the City of <br /> Pleasanton for review prior to approval of a final grading plan. <br /> 1.2 If contamination exceeding statutory requirements is found, then soils and/or groundwater <br /> remediation plans should be prepared and implemented to address any conditions found in <br /> the various hazardous materials studies. <br /> 1.3 If the studies reveal that irremedial contamination and unacceptable health risks exist, then <br /> development in the effected area should be avoided. <br /> Visual Resources Obiective <br /> TO RETAIN KEY VISUAL RESOURCES OF THE SITE AND PROVIDE VIEWS OF AND <br /> ACROSS THE SITE FROM BERNAL A VENUE AND 1-680. <br /> Visual Resources Policy 1: Protection of Visual Resources.
