subject tree, The applicants shall post cash, letter of credit, certificate of deposit <br />(CD), or other security satisfactory to the Planning Director in the amount of <br />$$,000 for each tree required to I~ ptes~vod, up to a maximum of $25,000. This <br />cash bond or security shall be retained for one year following completion of <br />construction and shall be forfeited if the trees are removed, destroyed, or <br />disfigured. If the fine based on the appraised value of the tree(s) exceeds the bond <br />amount, the applicants shall pay the difference between the bond and the <br />appraised value of the subject tree(s). <br /> <br />37. <br /> <br />The following tree preservation methods shall be followed during construction of <br />the site. These methods shall be listed on the building permit plans and shall <br />include, but not be limited to, the following.' <br /> <br />a. No existing tree may be Uirrtmed or pruned without ~rior approval by the <br />Planning Director. Any City approved pruning of existing trees shall be <br />performed by a certified arborist. <br /> <br />b. No equipment shall be operated or stored within the dripline of any tree. <br /> <br />c. No trenching for utilities or irrigation shall take place within the clriplines <br />of existing lrees without prior approval by the Planning Director. <br /> <br />d. Temporary chain link fencing shall be installed around the existing trees <br />surrounding the building pads. No equipment may be operated within or beneath <br />the driplines of these trees, and no equipment or temporary structures shall be <br />placed within or beneath the driplines of these trees. Fencing shall remain in <br />place until completion of construction; removal of such fencing prior to that time <br />may result in a "stop workn order. <br /> <br />e. No oil, gasoline, chemicals, or other harmful materials shall be deposited <br />or disposed within the dripline of the trees or in drainage chnrmels, swales, or <br />areas that may lead to the dripline. <br /> <br />f. No stockpiling/storage of fill, etc., shall take place underneath or within 5' <br />of the dripline of the existing trees. <br /> <br />Failure to comply with any of these requirements may result in a "stop-work" <br />order. <br /> <br />Geotechnical <br /> <br />38. <br /> <br />The developer shall comply with the recommendations of the geotechnical <br />reports/letters prepared by Henry Justiniano & Associates entitled "Geotechnical <br />Investigation Proposed Single-Family Residence, 4130 Foothill Road, Pleasanton, <br />California" dated June 2000, "Addendum to Geotechnical Investigation Reports <br />Proposed Single-Family Residence, 4134 Foothill Road, Pleasanton, California" <br /> <br /> <br />
