Architectural design goals and ohjectives. <br />Park programming may change in accordance with community input, as directed by Client The arrangement of sports fields <br />and other park facilities will he coordinated with the 318-acre Bernal Property Phase II Specific Plan. <br />A.2 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />TASK A.2.1: DESIGN COORDINATION <br /> 1. Consultant will attend five public meetings (youth commission/teen center committee, Civic Arts <br /> Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission and City Council) and two client <br /> meetings and make presentations of the design submittals as the design evolves during the master <br /> planning process. <br /> 2. Consultant will coordinate this Scope of Services with City staff and consultants. and will oversee <br /> preparation of presentation drawings and a preliminary cost opinion for the overall and phased project. <br /> Adjacent projects that may require coordination include the Youth/Community Center and the eastern <br /> alignment of the Alameda County Fairgrounds drainage and cultivated stream project (to he designed hy <br /> others). <br /> 3. Consultant will coordinate the park design with the objectives, policies. guidelines and open space <br /> concepts in the Phase II Specific Plan for the Bernal Property, which focuses primarily on the planning <br /> and future implementation of the overall 318-acre Bernal Property Area. Site planning for the <br /> Youth/Community Center and Cultural Arts Center are not included in this Scope. <br />TASK A.2.2: CONCEPTUAL DESIGN <br />Consultant will provide master plan level (conceptual) design plans that will clarify the general design direction for the Project <br />in accordance with the previously approved 13-acre baseball fields PUD, the Phase II Specific Plan and other City direction. <br />Documentation will include the following: <br /> 1. An illustrated master plan will locate the following park uses within a 50-acre :t area: currently <br /> proposed sports fields and ancillary uses in the Phase II Specific Plan and the 13-acre baseball area, park <br /> entry at Bernal Avenue. one dog park, park maintenance facility, an additional sports facilities area <br /> (including additional fields or up to eight tennis courts). picnic facilities, parking areas for up to 400 cars <br /> including 83 spaces to he shared with the future cultural arts center, I,OOO-seat capacity outdoor <br /> amphitheatre, site configuration and building pad locations for the Youth/Community Center. trails and <br /> paths and conceptual tree planting plans. A development parcel (9.2:t acres) for a potential Cultural Arts <br /> Center will he identified. <br /> 2. General architectural concept description, including goals and objectives. <br /> 3. The extension of P1easanton A venue up to Bernal A venue will he shown. Street alignment and <br /> intersection design will be coordinated with the park entry feature, cultivated creek and water quality <br /> basins and swales that require crossings under Pleasanton A venue. <br />Bernal Community Park Master Plan 2 <br />
