FOTHERINGHAM <br /> LANDSCAPE ARCHrrEC1S <br /> EXHIBIT 'A' <br /> BASIC SERVICFS <br /> BERNAL COMMUNITY PARK <br /> MASTER PLAN <br />Scope of Services dated this 23rd day of September, 2005, submitted to the City of Pleasanton (Client) by M. D. Fotheringham, <br />Landscape Architects, Inc. (Consultant), to provide consultant services for the Bernal Community Park Master Plan (Project). <br />This Scope of Services is comprised of providing Conceptual Design Documentation and making presentations for the <br />approximately 50-acre Bernal Community Park. in collaboration with the Pleasanton Parks and Community Services <br />Department, City Council and City commissions and committees <br />A.I PROJECT DFSCRIPTION <br />The Bernal Community Park Master Plan will incorporate the recently approved 13-acre PUD baseball fields area of the Bernal <br />Community Park. and add to it the final approximately 37 acres of the Park for a total area of approximately 50 acres. Master <br />Plan documents will (I) illustrate the approved 13-acre baseball fields improvements, and (2) address the following park and <br />open space improvements for the remaining 37 acre area, as depicted in the Draft Illustrative Site Plan for the Bernal Property <br />Phase II Specific Plan, which was adopted by the City Council on June 21.2005: <br /> I. Baseball Complex Area: baseball diamond #4, with associated support facilities, concession and storage <br /> buildings. <br /> 2. Other Field Sports Area: two lighted natural turf soccer fields; one lighted. synthetic turf soccer stadium <br /> field; one foothall/lacrosse field; plaza; restrooms; concessions; storage for City and league use. <br /> 3. Parking areas including: 400:1: spaces, including 83 :!: spaces to be shared between the potential Cultural <br /> Arts Center and the sports fields. <br /> 4. Pleasanton Avenue: extend Pleasanton Avenue northward from the northern terminus of the previously <br /> approved 13-acre basehall fields PUD area to Bernal Avenue, including one bridge over the Fairgrounds <br /> drainage channel and park entry feature and intersection design at Bernal A venue. <br /> 5. Cultivated creek: alignment and interface with community park. <br /> 6. Two picnic pavilions: suitable for large group gatherings. (N umerous other picnic sites will eventually <br /> be designed to accommodate various group sizes). <br /> 7. Other community park uses: 1.000-seat capacity outdoor amphitheatre; two stand-alone restrooms; <br /> playgrounds and tot lots; multi-use trails; pathways; public art; additional sports facilities (possibly eight <br /> tennis courts or additional fields) park maintenance facility and a dog park located on the potential train <br /> station site. <br /> 8.
