Natural gas-fired <br />fireplaces shall be encouraged. <br /> <br />81. Electrical Outlets. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Outdoor outlets shall be provided at residences to allow use of electrical lawn and <br />landscape maintenance equipment. <br /> <br />h) <br /> <br />Residential garages shall supply outlets for electrical vehicle charging stations; <br />commercial/office projects shall provide charging stations at parking locations <br />convenient to building entrances so that driving electrical vehicles is perceived as <br />a parking place advantage. <br /> <br />82. <br /> <br />Natural Gas Outlets. Developer shall offer.~ an-as an option, the provision of natural gas <br />in residential backyards to allow use of natural gas-fired barbecues. <br /> <br />83. <br /> <br />Home-Work Incentives. Homes shall be constmated to encourage talecommuting by <br />providing as an option telecommunications infrastructure consistent with state-of-the-art <br />methods (e.g., cabling for DSL service, wiring for total room access, etc.). The developer <br />shall submit with its building permit application those measures included in its home <br />construction for review and approval by the Planning Director. <br /> <br />84. Pleasanton-Worker Buyer Incentives. <br /> <br />When the developer is ready to sell or lease the first phase of residential units <br />within each product type, the developer shall undertake a marketing campaign <br />targeted at persons who work within the City of Pleasanton. This campaign may <br />include, but is not limited to: (1) working in conjunction with the Pleasanton <br />Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Association, and other business group(s) to <br />disseminate information regarding the availability of residential units; <br />(2) contacting large employers (100+ employees) located within the City and <br />working with their Human Resources Department to provide information about <br />the availability o£the residential units; and (3) holding for persons who work in <br />the City of Pleasanton pre-sale open houses. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />During the course of selling/renting residential units in each phase of the Project, <br />the developer may become aware that there are more qualified, potential <br />buyers/renters than residential units available for sale/lease. This surplus of <br />buyers/renters may be manifested in that the number of persons who have signed <br />interest cards, placed deposits on future units, or have written names on waiting <br />lists exceeds the number of residential units to be released for sale/lease.
