(d) <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Trash, construction debris, or construction materials shall not be allowed off-site, <br />in creek areas, or near significant vegetation during any phase of development of <br />the Project. Property Owner shall clean up trash or construction debris prior to <br />acceptance of improvements by City. <br /> <br />Dust control best management practices, as approved by the City Engineer, shall <br />be followed at all times during grading and construction operations. Such <br />measures may include watering of exposed surfaces twice a day, and more <br />frequent watering when wind speeds exceed 15 mph; covering of stockpiled earth; <br />covering of tracks hauling dirt if windy conditions prevail. Failure to keep dust <br />under control may result in the stoppage of all work until a modified plan <br />acceptable to the City Engineer is approved and implemented. <br /> <br />41. <br /> <br />42. <br /> <br />F. Cultural Resources <br /> <br />Cultural Resources Survey, Property Owner shall conduct a cultural resources survey <br />of the Project site prior to issuance ora grading permit for mass grading this site. The <br />purpose of such survey will be to identify any potential surface indicators of historic or <br />pre-historic sites. This survey shall be conducted by a qualified archaeologist, walking <br />transects no more than 30 meters apart. <br /> <br />Mitigation/Remediatlon. Currently known sites, or sites which may be discovered <br />during future survey or monitoring activities, should either be avoided or appropriately <br />mitigated. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Two (2) cultural resources sites are currently known to exist within the Project <br />site. Land uses proposed for these sites shall attempt to preserve known resources <br />through avoidance or capping, following preparation of a Resource Recovery Plan <br />as described in Subsection (c) below. Avoidance or capping of the resource shall <br />ensure that either no soils are disturbed during site preparation, or that the existing <br />ground surface is covered by additional soils or paving prior to development such <br />that no disturbance to underlying resources occur. Capping activities shall be <br />monitored by a qualified archaeologist. <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />Protection of known cultural resources in the southeast quadrant of the <br />1-680/Bernal interchange should be accomplished via "capping" of the <br />commercial parking lot or preparing and implementing a Resources <br />Recovery Plan prior to disturbing the site. <br /> <br />(ii) <br /> <br />The entry roadway from Bernal Avenue on the Western Area should <br />attempt in its design to avoid any interference with the cultural resource <br />known to exist in this area. <br /> <br />Conditions of Approval Page 22 of 49 Revised August 21, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />
