The neighbors had the following questions and concerns regarding the
church's vision:
(~: How were the future membership numbers and thus the space needs arrived at?
A: There is a general rule to build for no less than double the current membership and
there are studies that indicate certain common plateaus within church growth
historically. Site and zoning constraints places some limits on what was possible.
(~: What has changed since the previous plan to put mob#e buildings on site to expand
the pre-school?
A; As part of the planning process members looked carefully at their priorities and
realized expanding the pre-school was not a priority; few members have young children.
Focus has shifted to the creation of a multi-purpose room to alleviate the problems of
having multi-uses for the worship space. Additionally, pre-school expansion would not
be practical because codes would require an expansion of outdoor space that is not
practical at this site. Pre-school expansion is not in the current master plan.
(~; Why have the issues of aesthetics and maintenance not been dealt with?
A: The church is waiting for plan completion to start Phase z of construction which will
include some of these improvements.
(~: Can the cross be illuminated?
A: Don't know.
(~: What are the fifason's bu#ding out back?
A: A small patio for wedding photos etc.
(~: What about noise and disturbances from parties at the tVasonic Hall?
A: Has not been a big problem and the Mason's don't want it to become one.
(There is no record of formal complaints filed with the City.)

C~: Can current membership numbers financially support the long term plan?
A: Growth is required to fund all three phases.

Q: What is the projected cost?
A: All three phases, $8-10 million. Phase I, approx. $1.5 million. Constructions costs
have gone up over the time the project has been delayed causing frustration among
members who have given money towards the project.

THE NEIGHBORS' CONCERNS AND NEEDS were outlined in the notes from the
August 8m meeting (copies distributed). Highlighted interests included:

Residents wanted:

1. No driveway permitted on National Park Road

2. No parking lot put on the National Park Road edge of the site (where the current
'~ammer head" is proposed) and no parking spaces immediately behind houses on
Bryce Canyon Court

3
