New parking lot landscaping would be installed to match the <br />plant species used in the Pleasanton Corporate Commons project. <br /> <br />The applicant has indicated that additional parking is needed at Pleasanton Corporate Commons, <br />primarily to accommodate the parking needs of E-Loan, located in the 6230 Stoneridge Mall <br />Road building, which has a high employee density. The applicant has indicated that the parking <br />lot would be temporary and would be coterminous with E-Loan's sublease, which (if extended <br />under an option) expires in 2013. The proposed PUD modification would not eliminate the <br />current zoning which would allow a new restaurant, bar, or billiard parlor to be constructed at <br />6180 Stoneridge Mall Road. Any other future use would require approval of a PUD <br />modification. <br /> <br />Please refer to the attached Planning Commission staff report, dated June 22, 2005, for additional <br />project information. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 22, 2005, to review the subject <br />application. There was no public comment on this item. The Planning Commission (5-0 vote) <br />recommended approval of the PUD modification per the conditions in the staffreport. Please see <br />the attached draft minutes for a further description of the Planning Commission's actions. <br /> <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> <br /> Staffhas reviewed the plans for the parking lot and has found that as designed and conditioned, it <br /> would meet all applicable City standards and would be attractively landscaped. The attached <br /> Planning Commission staff report dated June 22, 2005, provides a detailed discussion of the <br /> proposed application. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> <br /> Notice of the proposed use was mailed to the surrounding property owners and tenants within <br /> 1,000 feet of the subject property.
