Noise created by cheering at baseball games would be adequately reduced by the more
that 800-foot open space buffer between the fields and the nearest residential
neighborhood.

Amplified sound for announcing ball games is planned to consist of temporary tabletop
systems, until potentially more permanent facilities can be provided in future phases of
the Community Park. Amplified sound is proposed to be directed downward toward the
viewing terraces and infields only.

Future construction activities at the site would generate short-term noise impacts both
on-site and in the nearby surrounding area. Construction activity would be subject to the
City's Noise Ordinance that limits construction hours.

Given the existing traffic noise levels in the area and the site's proximity to Interstate 680
and Bemal Avenue, and given the distance that the Project site is located away from the
nearest housing, staff believes that the increase in the amount of urban noise during and
after the Project is constructed would be insignificant.

X
May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

3.09. Impacts on Public Services (Fire, Police, Schools, Parks, Maintenance, etc.)

Incremental increases in the demand for public services would occur as a result of the
Project improvements. Given that this site is generally located within an in-fill overall
area, pohce, fire, parks maintenance staff, and related service increases are considered to
be insignificant.

X
May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

3.10. Impact on Utilities (Water, Sewer, Storm Water Drainage, Solid Waste, etc.)

Staff feels there would be no significant impact on public utilities as a result of the
Project improvements. In conjunction with development, water, sewer, storm water
drainage, power, and telephone service could be adequately provided. All new
landscaping is required to meet all applicable water conservation standards.

X
May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

9
