3.05.d. Would the proposed project have a potentially significant adverse impact on
ground water quality?

Pollutants created by pav~nent runoff, and pesticides and insecticides would be filtered
through a series of natural filtration systems such as the storm water detention basin, bio-
swales, cultivated stream, and slotted curbs. Please refer to Section 2.0, Item G for
additional discussion regarding this item. Therefore the impact on ground water quality
is not expected to be significant.

X
May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

3.06. Plant and Animal Impacts 0gffeet on Existing Ecosystem, Rare or Endangered
Species, etc.)

As stated in the Phase I Bemal EIR, the project site consists of hay fields, providing
seasonal cover and forage and nesting areas for a variety of wildlife species. No Project
area trees, shrubs or riparian habitat presently exist. Small mammals such as gophers,
moles, jackrabbits, squirrels, and mice use this area, as well as blackbirds, scrub jays,
magpies, and other birds. There is no evidence that endangered species known to exist
within the Pleasanton area are found on the Project site.

Development of the site would eliminate areas of agricultural grassland and replace it
with a street, paved parking areas, pathways, plaza areas, small accessory buildings, and
turf areas. Native plant species would be planted in most areas not required for turf play
areas.

Staff does not beheve the project will have a significant negative impact on the existing
ecosystem.

X
May be Insignificant Insignificant
Significant if Mitigated

3.06.a.
