<br />The project does conform to the purposes of the PUD <br />District by providing a large-scale, high-density <br />mUlti-family residential project that it is <br />appropriate in site lay-out and architectural <br />design for the area in which it is proposed. The <br />project makes use of semi-subterranean parking <br />garages which, in turn, permits the use of large <br />portions of the site for landscaping and <br />recreational amenities. The proj ect would meet <br />General Plan goals and policies by providing <br />affordable, renter-occupied, multi-family housing <br />near employment centers and transportation routes. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed <br />project meets the PUD findings. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PUD-81-30-53D, the <br />application of Robertson Homes/Prudential Insurance <br />Company for planned unit development (PUD) development <br />plan approval for an 878 unit apartment complex composed <br />of 35 three-story buildings on an approximately 27 acre <br />site in the Hacienda Business Park located at 5675 <br />Stoneridge Drive, bordered by Tassajara Creek on the <br />east, and Stoneridge and Owens Drives on the south and <br />north, subject to the conditions shown on Exhibit "A," <br />attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2.
