A final water line route at the southern boundary of the
site shall be chosen according to an overland feasibility
study prepared by the developer, and subj ect to the
satisfaction of the Planning Director, City Engineer, and
the Department of Fish and Game. The developers of the
Presley and Moller properties shall enter into a
reimbursement agreement for the preparation of this
study. If it determined that a bridge over Gold Creek is
necessary for an overland route, a reimbursement
agreement between the developers of the Presley and
Moller properties shall be required.

Should the city determine that an overland route is
infeasible, the "770" water line shall be installed in
"A" Street to Foothill Road, and in Foothill Road to the
southern property boundary. Said line shall be installed
wi th all necessary seismic precautions, to the
satisfaction of the City Engineer.

In either alternate, the "770" water main
required until the Phase II grading of
development or the Phase I portion of
development, whichever occurs first.

will not be
the Presley
the Moller

h. The design of the water system shall ensure that on an
average day, the water pressure shall not fall below 40
psi, at the peak hour the pressure should not fall below
30 psi, and with fire flow on a maximum day, the water
pressure shall remain at least at 20 psi, all of which
shall be measured at the meter.

i. Pressure reduction valves (PRVs) shall be installed at
the house to lower the water pressure to 80 psi, at all
homes where deemed necessary. No PRVs shall be permitted
at curbside.

j. Piping between the water meter and the PRV shall be 1.5-
inch minimum diameter and upgraded to Schedule 80, or as
determined by the Chief Building Official, to accommodate
the expected higher water pressures. All service laterals
between the main and the meter shall be 1.5 inch minimum
diameter and shall be upgraded to accommodate the
additional water pressure, as determined by the City
Engineer.

k. A corrosion engineer should determine the suitability of
the soils to accept copper services, or other ferrous
metal pipes.

Resolution No. PC-91-22
March 27, 1991
