<br />contradictory and that people who might sell the nearby property to someone for a home <br />someday could tell the buyer that only bike trails might be installed, when technically light <br />rail could go through. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Further discussion ensued with Mr. Rasmussen and Mr. Beougher reassuring the <br />Commission that removal of the sentence does not preclude a possible wine train. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Hovingh, seconded by Commissioner Wright <br />recommending approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for Case GP-91-5 inasmuch <br />project approval would not have significant adverse effects on the environment. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Horan, Hovingh, Michelotti, Wright, and Chairman Mahem <br />None <br />Commissioner McGuirk <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC-91-106 was entered and adopted recommending approval of the Negative <br />Declaration prepared for Case GP-91-5 as motioned. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti said she would not be able to support the recommendation unless <br />the Commission directed the City to send a letter to property owners stating that this action <br />taken does not prevent the possible installation of some type of light rail or a wine train. <br />Chairman Mahem questioned as to who the letter could be sent to and did not think it <br />feasible or necessary. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mr. Beougher explained that Kaufman and Broad has submitted a plan for the property in <br />question to the City. He further clarified that at the time of subdivision the Commission <br />could make a condition, which would alert a purchaser of the property. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Hovingh, seconded by Commissioner Wright <br />recommending approval of Case GP-91-5 deleting the sentence from paragraph 3 on page III- <br />9 of the Circulation Element that reads: "These corridors could be used for light rail transit <br />sometime in the future.
