The Specific Plan proposes land use and <br />infrastructure improvements for the separately owned 27 parcels within this area. <br />Public hearing will also conceru the adequacy of the Final Enviroumental Impact Report <br />~ prepared for the Specific Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift introduced Wayne Rasmussen, Advance Planner. Staff asked that the Commission <br />take public testimony and provide direction to staff for finalizing the project EIR and draft <br />North Sycamore Specific Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Rasmussen called attention to five different plans displayed for review. In particular, he <br />noted that Plan No.5 was a new alternative plan and quickly pointed it out to the <br />Commission. He gave the Commission a check list and stated that the goal is to come back <br />in October with a final plan. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued between staff and the Commission as to the school district's statement that <br />an additional school in that area will not be necessary. Mr. Swift indicated that a school site <br />will remain in the plan. Should it eventually be determined unnecessary, the site could then <br />be used for some type of public institution or facility. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />Shirley Pignataro, 720 Sycamore Road, presented a sheet depicting an Alternative 1 plan, <br />along with a letter stating her concerns. She stated that she is very concerned about a <br />collector road running through her property.
