Commissioner Horan felt that the church should definitely fit their signage into the corporate image of the plaza. Mr. Senna said he has no problem with that. THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. Commissioner Hovingh felt that as the City is short of public and institutional zoning that they should try to accommodate churches. He supported the application. Commissioner Michelotti felt the conditional use permit would take care of any problems with parking and noise. Further discussion ensued as to whether the church would have bible studies, counselors, etc. Commissioner Horan expressed concern that any bible studies, etc. should take place after the usual corporate hours were over. Commissioner Hovingh said he would allow the church up to 10 additional people from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays along with the 7:30 to 9 p.m. hours on Wednesdays and the normal Sunday usage. He felt they should be allowed a small amount of activity during normal working hours. ~ Mr. Swift said the conditions could be amended to reflect the allowance of people on site that would not exceed the amount of parking set aside for their allowed square footage during normal working hours Monday through Friday; that small groups may use the site in the evenings, but the main congregation hours would be Wednesday night and Sunday. A motion was made by Commissioner Michelotti, seconded by Commissioner Horan making the required findings and approving Case UP-91-13 subject to the conditions of the staff report with the following modifications: o Amend Condition 1 as noted on Exhibit A to allow a number of people on site not to exceed the amount of parking set aside for the site's allowed square footage during normal working hours Monday through Friday; o Add Condition 9 that small groups may use the site in the evenings, but the main congregation hours would be Wednesday evening and Sunday.
