~

Numerous accidents have apparently taken place on Mirador Drive,
with at least one car crashing into a house on the northern part
of Mirador. She noted that Charlotte Severin, a resident of
Mirador Drive was also opposed to the extension. Mrs. Tenbrink
felt that she has a beautiful viewshed as it is and did not want
to have it destroyed. She thought Pleasanton is very beautiful,
but that care must be taken to preserve that beauty along with
open spaces.

Jim Evdokimoff, 695 windmill Lane, said he and other people on
Windmill Lane had not seen the petition, but indicated he was
opposed to it. He said he is directly affected by the extension
as it would go right behind his property. He thought that if the
Mirador extension went through a traffic light would be needed on
Mirador Drive, which in turn would affect traffic on Independence
Drive if a light is not installed there.

Thomas Pico, Jr., 795 Neal Place, stated he is opposed to the
Mirador Drive extension. He felt the February 1990 petition date
was too long ago to be feasible, and did not think the signatures
were valid. He did not think response time for emergency service
would be that much enhanced by an extension.

Linda Brokey, 4219 Mirador Drive, was opposed to the Mirador
extension. She said her house was the one that was hit by an
auto. She felt that should traffic increase by an estimated 15%,
that hazards would be significantly increased. She said cars
already speed down that street and felt an extension would
increase that hazard.

Cindy Sanders, 4253 Mirador Drive, said she has lived there for
14 years and is opposed to the extension of Mirador. She said
traffic is already heavy and several of her animals have been
killed. She indicated she must back the wrong way into the
street so that she can see what is coming. If the extension goes
through, she would want at least a stop sign to slow traffic
down.

Steve Clarkson, 4507 Mirador Drive, stated he has heard that some
cities are even putting up barriers at certain streets to keep
out traffic while at the same time, Pleasanton is opening them
up. He said he lives next to Ms. Severin and helped when their
house was on fire. He did not think response time for the fire
department would have been any faster even if Mirador Drive had
been open. He said many people on that street bought there
because they liked the view, and thought it was unfair to take
the Bonde property out of the Williamson Act in order for the
developer to make some money.

Sara Hollister, 857 Abbie Street, was opposed to the Mirador
extension. She felt that if it went through it would also
increase traffic on Angela Street.
