A motion was made by Commi..~ioner Wright, seconded by Commi....ioner Hovingh, making the conditional use permit f"mdings of the staff report and approving Case Z-94- 29/UP-94-3, subject to the conditions listed in Exhibit "B," with the following modification: ~ Condition 4: delete removal of the freestanding monument sign, approve routed letter signs, the applicant is to work with Staff on the design of the monument sign which is not to exceed the allowable square footage. Determination that the Durchase of the Garms Ranch/ A-M Homes Drooertv bv East Bav Rel!ional Park District conforms to the City's General Plan On the advice of Staff Counsel, Commissioner Michelotti abstained from this application because her residence is near the Garms property. Mr. Swift presented the staff report outlining the request from the East Bay Regional Park District to purchase the Garms property, recommending the Commission find the purchase of the Garms Ranch property is consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan. Commissioner Hovingh inquired if the undergrounding of utilities and improving Foothill Road are part of the General Plan findings. Mr. Swift stated it is an entirely separate issue.
