~ Commissioner Hovingh supports the application. He does not suPPOrt adding new Code classifications because that would make the Code too large. He pre~rs to rely on the Planning Commission and City Council to make judgments of wheth~r conditional use permits are appropriate. Commissioner Mahem also supports the application for a conditional use permit. She feels the applicant is not a straight retail operation and should be subject tp the conditional use fmdings of staff. Commissioner Mahern further stated that even if II new classification to the Code was adopted, she would still want a conditional use permit to lPe approved. Therefore, she feels no change to the Code is necessary. I Commissioner Wright supports this application and recommends not!making another category in the Code to handle consignment stores. . Chairman McGuirk supports the application and feels it meets the g~idelines of what is desired for downtown Pleasanton. He also feels that creating anothqr category in the Code allows for more gray areas to develop. Mr. Parchman advised the CommIssion that he and his family live in Pleasanton, and he would like their approval so he cQ\Jld continue his business operation in Pleasanton.
