<br />~ Commissioner Mahern said she thought it was a good project and w uld be an improvement <br />to the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh discussed the location of the bathroom in the fro t unit and noted that a <br />person must go from the bedroom to the living room to the bathroo . He felt this might not <br />be the best arrangement possible. Mr. Meckauer replied that it was one this way to make it <br />more accessible for a handicapped person; however, he would look t the plan again to see if <br />that could be changed. <br /> <br />In regard to Chairman Hovingh's comment, Commissioner Finch di not think the entrance <br />to the bathroom would make that much difference. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright discussed the hours of work with the applican. He thought that most <br />construction starts at 7:00 a.m. and asked if Mr. Meckauer was hap y with the 8:00 a.m. to <br />5:00 p.m. hours, Monday through Saturday. Mr. Meckauer did not have a problem with the <br />hours as conditioned, but did want to be able to work on Saturday. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk commented that 8:00 a.m. might seem late or construction work to <br />begin; however, he felt that a good number of people might not get p until 7:00 a.m. He <br />favored the 8:00 a.m. hours. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright stated that he did not particularly like Saturda construction work and <br />felt that it might disturb the neighbors. <br /> <br />Commissioner Finch commented that being in some construction wo k of his own he was of <br />the opinion that workers usually get to the site at 8:00 a.m. or later. He felt that <br />construction should be allowed on Saturday so that the job could get done faster. He felt that <br />most people do their outside jobs on Saturday anyway and it would ot bother them. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti stated she did not mind Saturday construc on work. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Mahem felt that with such a small project that Satur y work would not be an <br />imposition to the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh also noted that by allowing Saturday work, it w ld shorten the job time <br />and cost the applicant less interest. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright commented in regard to the design guidelines for the Downtown <br />Revitalization and the color of the trim for the house as noted in the staff report. He did not <br />think that the application should be conditioned to a certain color, d felt that even a white <br />trim should be acceptable.
