Zoning for the property is C-S (Commercial Servic ) District. <br /> <br />Continued indefinitely. <br /> <br />Item S.c. - -7 im M n b If f B <br />Application for a conditional use pennit to allow used car sales <br />towed vehicles by Santa Rita Towing located at 3687 Old Santa 'ta Road, Suite 17. <br />Zoning for the property is PUn (Planned Unit Development) - 10 (Commercial/Office) <br />District. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of Cas UP-93-7 subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh called attention to Condition 3 in regard to "dis antIed or wrecked" <br />vehicles. He expressed concern that other vehicles being stored mi ht leak oil or other <br />fluids. Mr. Swift noted that the wording can be changed to "towed vehicles". <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />Barry Pries, 3687 #17 Old Santa Rita Road, represented the applica 'on. He stated that his <br />purpose in getting a permit is so that he can get a dealer's license to run autos through an <br />auction. In regard to Chairman Hovingh's concern about leaking oi , he stated that usually <br />by the time a vehicle gets to his storage the oil or fluids have alread leaked out. <br /> <br />In response to Commissioner Wright's question, Mr. Pries said he ust get a permit from <br />the City and also approval from DMV in order to get a dealer's lice se. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk asked if Mr. Pries sees this location as bein a type of holding pen <br />for autos to be sold. Mr. Pries indicted that is the purpose of the I ation. <br /> <br /> <br />ging the wording of <br />tied vehicles". Mr. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh asked the applicant if he has any objection to ch <br />Condition 3 to reflect "towed vehicles" rather than "wrecked or dis <br />Pries had no problem with that change or with any of the conditions. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh and Commissioner McGuirk noted that even thou h it is not on his <br />property, the area near Mr. Pries' location is very messy and expres ed some concern that <br />emergency vehicles would not be able to navigate very well through he area.
