Commissioner Finch inquired as to the age of NAMeD's employ s. Ms. Olivero replied the average age is 25; however, they hire no one younger than 18 years of age. Commissioner McGuirk expressed some concern that youth who e waiting for a turn to play might appear to be loitering, or that they may appear to be aiting for a turn but are actually loitermg. Ms. Olivero noted that most youth who are w .ting for a turn on a machine will usually put down a quarter to hold a space; this a s to take care of any loitering. In addition, store policy has an occupancy limit. No ~ , drink or tobacco is allowed on the premises. In response to Commissioner McGuirk's continued concern about loitering, the applicant said that if it appears that kids are just socializing in the establishment and not playing or waiting for the games, that the security police would be called on to hand e the matter. Commissioner McGuirk stated that he would hope the establishm nt would be able to maintain an entry way that does not encourage loitering, and that t is the manager's responsibility to make sure the environment is appropriate. Commissioner Wright responded that he felt the Conditions of A roval as a conditional use permit would address the concerns in regard to loitering. THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED.
